Dear all,

I am writing this letter to thank everyone at Mockley Manor for the great care you gave to my cousin during her stay at the home. I know she appreciated everything you did for her in particular when she was unable to move around the room and the assistance you gave her.

It was also a comfort during the last few weeks of her life to know that you gave her very good nursing care and kept us informed of her situation.

Thanks again and all best wishes to you all.

Best Regards,

E.W.Wingrove

To all staff at Westley Court,

My sincere thanks to all of you for the wonderful care my mum (mary Boyd) has received whilst at westley. Not only her, but me as well, I have felt really supported by you. There has always been someone to answer and reassure me, and for that I truly thank you. Mum has improved so much while in your care, and she is a lot happier. Only distance has forced the move, but as it is the same organisation, I am hopeful she will continue to thrive.

With love and thanks,

Chris Roach

Dear Madam,

May I take this opportunity of thanking you and all of your staff on behalf of my sister Cheryl and brother Shaun for the care and attention that you showed to our mother Mrs Diana Dandy whilst she was in your care at the Woodstock Nursing Home. We feel that the care that she received was of the highest quality and are very grateful to you all for making her last days as comfortable as you did.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sarah

I would like to thank you and your team for the way in which you looked after my mum during the last weeks of her life. Everyone was so kind and caring at such a difficult time and I really appreciate he time not only given to my mum, but also to me.

Mum’s only regret was not being able to take advantage of the lovely place. We did from time to time like to sit in your beautiful gardens or watch the birds & squirrels from her window and I will remember those particular moments as special times at the end of her life.

Westley Court is a special place with a wonderful team of staff so please accept our grateful thanks for all your hard work, your support and care.

Thank You

Kate Taylor (daughter of Jean Green Room 9).

15th April 2015

Dear Amanda

I write on behalf of all my family, firstly to thank the individual care staff who tended for my Dad in the last few weeks of his life when I believe he needed a lot of personal care.  I send particular thanks to Tara and Margaret who kept me informed of Dad’s deteriorating health and who made sure I could be there in time to be with him at the end.  I was able to hold his hand until he died peacefully in the GWH.

Secondly I write to thank all at Downs View for the care and attention you gave to Dad during the whole period of his residence with you.  I particularly thank yourself and Geraldine Smith the owner of the company  for attending the case conference at the Victoria Centre a few years ago that persuaded their health team that Dad’s particular care needs could be best delivered at Downsview. This resulted in him being able to continue to live in an environment that he was used to and in which he felt at home.  For this we were always grateful.

I will very much miss my visits to Downs View since I had become to feel part of the family too.  I always thought I might continue to pop in to see some of the residents who I had grown to know over the years – but I’m afraid I can’t promise at this stage………

Once again we all send our thanks and I wish you and your staff a happy and fruitful time as you continue developing Downs View professionally as a warm and comforting home for its residents.

Yours sincerely

Catherine Knight

Hi Chris,
I'm not sure if you know but my father had a short stay in Ashbury Lodge recently before passing away. He had been deteriorating before we moved him down from Lancaster and we had hoped that he would stabilise and we could settle him into Ashbury. Unfortunately it was not to be but I wanted to let you know how impressed I was with the team at Ashbury.
Tracy was completely wonderful from the start - flexible, caring and completely professional and helpful. She made a difficult move really smooth and then brought the team together to look after my father brilliantly. He was not the simplest resident to care for but all of the team worked really hard to make him feel welcome and relaxed and they helped us as a family deal with the situation in a really supportive way.
All the staff who looked after my father were really lovely and clearly hugely competent all the way through to the final hours and we as a family are enormously grateful.
I would be very grateful if you could pass our thanks on to Tracy and the team for looking after my father so wonderfully,
Yours,
Chris

My Father, Malcom Weaving , has been at Chapel House for some time now and we would like to thank Adam and all the staff for the wonderful care and kindness they have shown. It is clear Adam ensures Chapel House is led effectively with the best quality care, responsive to all Dad’s needs and well- being.

We have been most impressed with the fact that we regularly see Adam around the home. The residents really enjoy his company. He offers warmth and compassion and is active at events offering lots of enthusiasm and encouragement. Whilst situations must on occasions be complex and challenging he maintains a sense of “family,” really caring for the residents’ happiness. He has been passionate about focusing on Dad’s individual needs ensuring they are practised day to day. For this, we could never put into words our utter appreciation.

It was a difficult decision realising Dad needed specialist care for his Dementia, however, Adam has offered endless support, information and advice. We are comforted by the fact that we are kept up to date with Dad’s day to day personal care and Adam is so thoughtful and understanding, taking time to call Mum with updates. Since we live some distance away it is reassuring to know Adam keeps these lines of communication open and is available for a friendly chat. He has successfully created a welcoming, comfortable and home-like environment.

The care staff and nurses at Chapel House are also amazing. They have taken the time to build a good relationship with Dad based on understanding Dad’s likes and dislikes and what is important to him. They have offered patience and care down to the smallest detail. Where possible they encourage independence, they always take into consideration Dad’s wishes and they show respect for his dignity.

I have seen such gentle kindness and consideration, polite and positive in the face of challenge, the carers and nurses are an inspiration! We are grateful Dad is safe and secure, loved and respected.

May I also take this opportunity to thank the cook who, in difficult times with Dad’s appetite decreasing, has offered a lovely selection of meals, trying different ideas to accommodate him. Also, the overall appearance of Chapel House and Dad’s room is kept immaculate. A big thank you to all!

King regards

Rachael Mumford-Weaving (daughter) and on behalf of Angela Weaving (wife), Sarah Denman (daughter) and Jason Weaving (son).
