Ashbury Lodge Care Home is situated on the outskirts of Swindon in a handsome building right next to the beautiful Coate Water Country Park. We first opened in 2000 and now have 42 full-time residents.

The ground floor accommodation provides for the needs of residents who enjoy a high degree of independence and mobility. There is easy access to a secure sensory garden.

On the first floor, care and accommodation is provided to those with Dementia / Alzheimer's and mental illness, who need extra care. For reasons of safety and security, access to the Home is electronically controlled. There is a lift to the upper floor. Each floor operates as a separate unit.

Meal times are a very important time of the day. This is when staff assist those residents who need help and encouragement to eat and use this as a social occasion. This time is planned as a social event and residents are never hurried.

Entertainment plays a great part of what we do at Ashbury Lodge. Two activities organisers are on site to offer a stimulating programme of events which are appropriate for the ability and enjoyment of the residents.

Quotes from Ashbury Lodge Care Quality Commission Report

What the Care Quality Commission Report says:

“We observed that people were provided with the appropriate support and people’s dignity is promoted. The staff record information about people’s individual likes and dislikes with regards to food and nutritional health is being monitored. The provider has undertaken building work to provide a larger kitchen and a new lounge-dining room.”
