Care Quality Commission Rating: Good

Downs View Care Centre is situated in the quiet rural hamlet of Badbury, just off the A346 (Swindon to Marlborough road) approximately 1 mile from Junction 15 off the M4 motorway.

Open since April 2008, the care centre enjoys spectacular views to the Marborough Downs and is a truly delightful place to live or spend time for Day or Respite Care. Our two activity organisers work hard to arrange age appropriate projects and entertainment that care home residents can enjoy and want to participate in.

With 51 individual bedrooms, (44 en suite), one suite for couples, and four single rooms, our guests can enjoy privacy when desired, or socialise in one of our two spacious lounges, one with a sun lounge.

Meals at Downs View Care Centre are freshly prepared daily using local suppliers. They are varied, nutritious and well balanced. Residents can choose their meals according to dietary requirements or personal taste, and a photographic menu board is available to help choice. All meals are prepared on-site by our resident chef and team.

We pride ourselves on our home’s facilities and the service we provide to our seniors. We have built an enviable reputation over the years and we are committed to maintaining standards.

What the Care Quality Commission Report says:

“People who live at Downs View told us they were well treated by the staff and were happy with the care and support provided. We observed staff interacting positively with people in a caring and professional manner. Senior staff have undertaken training around the positive management of challenging behaviours. Individual rooms are clean and hygienic and residents are happy with the way their bedrooms are maintained.”
